Exercise

Exercise is one of the most powerful methods for strengthening our immune systems so we can better deal with modern day stressors and grow healthy, wealthy and wise.

My best advice is to find a form of movement you enjoy and have fun practicing it!

I never ever set out to exercise; instead, I live an active life filled with lots of stretching, walking, hiking, and mountain biking.

Practicing an activity or sport which you really enjoy will bring much of the benefits of exercising without the feeling of doing some treacherous chore.

Sure, I curse and moan while walking my mountain bike up steep hills but the down-hill pay off is always worth it and leaves me energized and smiling ear to ear.

Being self-sufficient and nomadic also means that I have to carry my own water and chop my own wood so to speak. My lifestyle entails plenty of exercise and I feel so much better on active days versus days when I’m too busy or drained to stay physically active.

Combining exercise with cold therapy can have dramatic effects on expediting our recovery time, allowing us to get stronger, faster.

When I find more time I plan to tell you all I know about Yoga Asana, and Edgu.org which helped me heal my neck from an old collarbone injury.

Also, I just want to plug this book called something like “Winning The Injury Game: How to Free Yourself From Chronic Pain” for anyone who wants to get back into movement or sports but is hampered by injuries. I haven’t read this one yet as I intuitively healed myself right before finding out about this book but it gave me the faith that I can heal myself from anything so I’m optimistic about one day playing Soccer again.

I can hardly wait til I have opportunities to dance again since it’s my favorite way to move and release energy throughout my body; it’s a need I can’t properly fulfill without good music and other dancers. May this world re-open.
